Cuento de Canto
Together with Mariel Sanhueza, we created this book based on the work of Lorenzo Aillapán, also known as Uñümche, the Bird Man — a Mapuche poet recognized by UNESCO as a Living Human Treasure of the Araucanía.
Combining poetry, onomatopoeia, and illustration, we sought to preserve the wonderful wisdom offered by the Mapuche culture — the interpretation of birdsong, with the birds themselves as the main characters of the book.
The book was created and published thanks to public cultural grants, through Editorial Librosdementira.

Mapuche y declarado por la Unesco como Tesoro Humano Vivo de la Araucanía.
Combinando poesía, onomatopeyas e ilustraciones, buscamos atesorar un maravilloso conocimiento que nos ofrece la cultura mapuche, que es la interpretación del canto de las aves, quienes son los protagonistas del libro.
